Roland & Kenneth first DIY project

Roland decided to teach Kenneth how to build a house from scratch. They used chairs, blankets, rope, a mattress and a short bamboo stick. ha ha... see... this is the end product. Both of them stayed in the "house" for 10 mintues to read and have a drink. Not too bad for a start, Don't you think?

I wonder what is the next DIY project they will do together?? Father and son bonding together...

Kenneth first Baking Lesson

Today, Kenneth had his first taste of baking. It was really quite fun. I used the shortbread cookie recipe and I must say the cookie actually turned out to be very buttery and delicious. I made the dough earlier while he was sleeping and chilled it. When he woke up from his nap, he reminded me that it was time for his baking lesson. He used a gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut the dough. Then, he placed in on a baking tray and could not wait to bake it in the oven. Interestingly, He knows that the cookie needs to be baked before eating. I wonder how he knew that? I did not teach him! Anyway, at the end of the day, both of us had lots of fun. Watching him sink his teeth into the freshly baked cookies made me more determine to have more baking lessons with him. hmmm... maybe the next lesson will be baking chocolate cup cakes...

Our Baby Samuel at 6 weeks

Samuel has really grown alot since birth. He has been putting on weight and it really warms my heart to see our second bao bei growing stronger. In many ways, he reminds me of Kenneth. Nothing beats the feeling and the warmth of watching your own child contentedly sleeping in your arms. At a young age, Samuel demands alot of physical attention. I am not too sure if it is the result of a colic stomach or plainly yang or! This little boy requires me to carry him all the time and sometimes, I am really worried that he will get used to it. well.... I try to remind myself of the saying that you can never spoil a child by carrying and loving it right???? (hmmm... I wonder???)

Anyway, here are some new update pictures of Samuel.

Our Baby Samuel is a month old already... time really flies. I remember this tiny baby in my arms at the operating theatre. Now, he is a month old. Soon, he will be a year old. Goodness... stop! Time, don't go too fast.. I am alittle slow in smelling the roses..
